Sidney Crosby scored a highlight goal at 2:12 of overtime Tuesday to give the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins a 6-5 win over the Edmonton Oilers in a back-and-forth game.

Crosby stickhandled all over the Oilers zone before backhanding the puck over the left pad of goaltender Cam Talbot for his second goal of the game.

Patric Hornqvist and Jamie Oleksiak also scored twice for Pittsburgh.

Leon Draisaitl and Alex Chiasson each scored twice and Connor McDavid added a goal for Edmonton.

Matt Murray made 41 saves for the Penguins, and Talbot made 25.

Crosby broke his longest goal drought to start a season, six games, on the only goal of the first, a deflection on a Kris Letang pass during a power play at 10:58.

Draisaitl tied it 1:06 into the second when he got a loose puck in the high slot and blasted it under Murray's blocker. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins picked up his 200th career assist.

Chiasson made it 2-1 at 3:10 on a shot from the slot as he was falling on his backside.

At 7:16, Oleksiak finished off a crisp passing display off the rush for a 2-2 tie.

Hornqvist got his first goal of the season for a 3-2 Penguins lead at 10:24. Dominik Simon, from deep, fed Hornqvist, who banged it past Talbot from in front of the crease.

Chiasson's second tied it again at 15:15. He had a two-on-two with Tobias Rieder against Pittsburgh's Jack Johnson and Olli Maatta. The two Oilers got behind the defensemen for a two-on-none, and Chiasson buried a pass from Rieder.

Hornqvist finished the second-period scoring when the puck went in off his skate with 54.2 seconds left for a 4-3 Pittsburgh lead.

In the third, Edmonton scored back-to-back power-play goals to regain the lead.

McDavid forged a 4-4 tie on a screened shot from the top of the right circle at 2:47, and Draisaitl shoveled the puck past Murray's blocker at 4:18 to make it 5-4.

Oleksiak's second, on a long rebound at 6:51, tied it 5-5.
