Preview Roundups
January 08, 2018
Milwaukee at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
Victor Oladipo returned and the Indiana Pacers looked like a completely different team while routing the Chicago Bulls 125-86 on Saturday to snap a five-game slide. The last of those losses came at Milwaukee on Wednesday, and the Pacers will try to get some revenge with their leading scorer back when they host the Bucks on Monday.
Toronto at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors' current road trip is going much better than the last and they will try to cap a perfect three-game voyage when they visit the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. The Raptors, who had an 0-2 trip after Christmas, have won the first two legs of this excursion and four straight overall, during which they are averaging 123.8 points.
Houston at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls dropped four of their last five games but only one of those setbacks was of the non-competitive variety - a 125-86 beatdown at Indiana on Saturday. The Bulls will try to put that one behind them and get back to the solid basketball they've been playing for the last month when they host the stumbling Houston Rockets on Monday.
Cleveland at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves bounced back from a pair of tough road losses at Eastern Conference opponents by trouncing the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, but a date with another tough East squad looms. The Timberwolves will try to put together back-to-back wins when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
Detroit at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons' success of late has been dictated largely on whether they play at home or on the road. After pushing their home winning streak to five with an impressive victory over Houston on Saturday, the Pistons will try to snap a four-game road losing streak at New Orleans on Monday.
San Antonio at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs are 1-4 when playing the second game of a back-to-back on the road this season but will have some history on their side when they play their second contest in as many nights at Sacramento on Monday. The Spurs have claimed 11 straight meetings with the Kings and six in a row at Sacramento dating from a loss there November 15, 2014.
Denver at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
Just as the Golden State Warriors could wait as long as necessary to get Stephen Curry healthy with Kevin Durant around, the team can afford to wait for Durant to overcome an injury while Curry is lighting up the scoreboard. Curry will try to follow up his latest scoring binge and lead the Warriors to a fifth consecutive victory when they host the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
Atlanta at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers will end a seven-game stay in their home arena when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. The Clippers won the first four games in the stretch at the Staples Center - including one as the road team against the Lakers - before dropping matchups with Oklahoma City and Golden State their last two times out.
