Preview Roundups
March 01, 2017
New York at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
The New York Knicks are letting their games come down to the final shot lately and split a pair of one-point games during a two-game homestand. The Knicks will try to put it away a little earlier when they visit the Orlando Magic on Wednesday for the beginning of a stretch with six of seven on the road.
Washington at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors figure to lean heavily on All-Star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan when they host the Washington Wizards on Wednesday in the first half of a home-and-home set. In the Raptors' third game since losing point guard Kyle Lowry to a wrist injury, they received 37 points from DeRozan to outlast the New York Knicks 92-91 at Madison Square Garden on Monday.
Dallas at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The road has been anything but kind this season to the Dallas Mavericks, who travel to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday sporting an 8-21 mark away from home – including eight losses in nine games at Eastern Conference foes. Dallas has lost three road games in a row but enters Wednesday off back-to-back home victories over New Orleans and Miami, keeping the Mavericks within two games of the final Western Conference playoff spot.
Philadelphia at Miami 7:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat cannot afford to drop multiple games to sub-.500 teams as they attempt to move up the Eastern Conference standings and will try to avoid two such setbacks in a row when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. The Heat had a three-game winning streak come to an end with a 96-89 loss at Dallas on Monday.
Denver at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets are about to embark on a highly favorable stretch of their schedule but first they look to complete a sweep of a two-game road trip when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Denver rolled to a 125-107 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday and will play seven of their next eight at home after facing the Bucks.
Detroit at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans will be without suspended All-Star DeMarcus Cousins when they host the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. In his third game since being traded to the Pelicans last week, Cousins picked up his 18th technical foul of the season, triggering an automatic one-game suspension and leaving his squad shorthanded as it attempts to snap a three-game slide.
Cleveland at Boston 8:00 PM ET
The Boston Celtics worked their way up to second place in the East but have yet to prove they can beat the best team in the conference. The Celtics will get another crack at that when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Indiana at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers recovered from a 17-point deficit to knock off one 40-plus win team on Monday and will try to avoid a similar hole when they take on another with a visit to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. The Pacers stumbled into the All-Star break with losses in six straight games but took two of three since - with both wins coming against top eight teams from the Western Conference.
Minnesota at Utah 9:00 PM ET
Andrew Wiggins has been one of the better offensive players in the NBA recently and the Minnesota standout looks to post another solid outing when the Timberwolves visit the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. Wiggins has scored 20 or more points in a franchise-record 18 consecutive games and is averaging 31 points over the past nine games.
Houston at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Houston Rockets racked up 140 points while routing the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this season and look to enjoy another high-octane performance when the teams meet in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Star guard James Harden scored 30 points in December's 24-point victory over the Clippers, who allowed an average of 116.3 points over their last three games.
Brooklyn at Sacramento 10:30 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets see piles of losses building up and they attempt to halt their 16-game slide when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. Brooklyn dropped the first two contests of the eight-game Circus Trip with stops at Denver and Golden State and has won just one of its past 28 games.
