Preview Roundups
April 19, 2017
Washington at Toronto 7:00 PM ET
The Washington Capitals find themselves losing ground as they fight an uphill battle against both the upstart Toronto Maple Leafs as well as their own postseason demons. After sustaining back-to-back post-regulation losses, the Presidents' Trophy-winning Capitals look to avert being pushed to the brink of elimination on Wednesday when they play Game 4 against the Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre.
Ottawa at Boston 7:30 PM ET
The Ottawa Senators surrendered home-ice advantage by dropping the opener of their Eastern Conference first-round series, but they seized it back by winning consecutive overtime games for the first time in franchise history. The Senators go for their third straight victory when they visit the Boston Bruins on Wednesday in Game 4 of their best-of-seven series.
Minnesota at St. Louis 9:30 PM ET
The Minnesota Wild attempt to get their sputtering offense going and stay alive in their Western Conference first-round series when they visit the St. Louis Blues for Game 4 on Wednesday. The Wild, who were second in the league in scoring during the regular season (3.21 goals per game), have managed to get just three of their 117 shots past Jake Allen in three straight losses.
Anaheim at Calgary 10:00 PM ET
After recording their biggest postseason comeback in franchise history, the Anaheim Ducks look to prevent the Calgary Flames from taking the first step of doing the same on a larger scale Wednesday when they meet for Game 4 of their first-round series. Anaheim overcame a three-goal deficit in Monday's 5-4 overtime victory to claim a 3-0 series advantage for the sixth time in club history, with the brooms being brought out the last time it did so in 2015 against Winnipeg.
